S&P: American Express Bank FSB Ratings Withdrawn Upon Merger Into American Express National Bank
S&P Global Ratings said today it withdrew its 'A-/A-2' long - and short-term issuer credit ratings on American Express Bank FSB because of the bank's merger into American Express National Bank. The outlook was stable at the time of withdrawal. American Express National Bank was formerly named American Express Centurion Bank and has converted to a national bank charter. We maintain long - and short-term issuer credit ratings of 'A-/A-2' on American Express National Bank as a core subsidiary of American Express Co.
